We offer both classroom and online sessions to accommodate your busy schedules
We are the longest running driving school in the area and will do whatever it takes to meet your needs. We are extremely flexible and will work with you to ensure that the course will be completed in a timely manner and at your convenience, while still offering high quality instruction both in the classroom and in the car.
The cost for the course, whether you choose classroom or online, is $495.
This price includes 30 classroom hours, 6 driving hours, and the opportunity to earn a drive test waiver. To enroll, you may print out an enrollment form and mail it in with a deposit of $250 or the full amount. Once we receive your payment, your son or daughter is officially enrolled and you may pick up their paperwork and books at the parent meeting. If you are enrolling online, you have the option of stopping in to pick up their paperwork or we can mail it out to you. Online enrollees are not required to attend the parent meeting, but you are more than welcome to do so if it is around your enrollment date. If you happen to not get your enrollment sent in prior to the meeting, you will be able to sign up there. Please make all checks payable to S&B Driving School and note that we do not accept credit cards. Once we receive your payment, your son or daughter will officially be enrolled in the class.
All students must be 15 years of age and have in their possession a Learner's Permit issued to them by the State of Indiana to attend the behind-the-wheel sessions. However, you do not have to possess a permit by the first class. In fact, most students will not. To receive a permit in Indiana, it is required that each student pass a written exam at the BMV and although they are allowed to take the test three weeks prior to the first class, they will not have had any instruction. At the parent meeting we will discuss how to get the permit and if you are enrolling online this will be covered by phone or when you stop in. NOTE: Do not go to BMV to obtain the learner's permit without the CDE form. To receive the permit, students must have a CDE form that will be issued to them by S&B Driving School once they are enrolled in our course.
If you would like to enroll in the online course, please read the paragraph below and click on the link. We do have our own online course and require that students wishing to take online do so with S&B. It will allow you to create a username and password and begin working immediately, but you are required to physically turn in a registration form and payment by mail or in person. It will not allow you to pay online.
classroom
Our classroom course is a 10 class session. Each class is 3 hours. We offer 2 makeup classes for each session. Guest speakers enhance the classroom experience. Our current speakers include a retired state police officer and a state farm insurance agent.
The 6 hours of driving instruction will be done at your convenience after school or on the weekend. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule.
ONLINE CLASSROOM COURSE
Enroll at any time. Simply use the link below to create a username and password. Once enrolled, call 812-576-SAFE(7233) to let us know you registered and then print out the enrollment form and mail it in with payment. A representative will contact you and once payment is received we will mail out the CDE form. If you prefer to stop in, this can be done in person. The 30 online hours will be done at your convenience and once the student has in their possession a permit, you can contact us to set up drive times.

In-Car Cancellation
Once a student schedules his/her actual in-car lessons, these lessons are firm. We require that all cancellations and changes of driving appointments be made at least 24 hours prior to the start of a scheduled lesson. Should we not receive at least a 24 hour notice, there will be a $50.00 “no show” or “late cancellation” fee the first time. If it happens a second time the cancellation fee will be $100.
